Jacey Chronicles: Boo!

This has been a whirlwind month! Trip to the Waco zoo, ALS Fundraiser BBQ, first time in Sunday School, Music class, riding Thomas the Train, Scout campout, Chili cookoff with grandpa, Jonson's birthday, Fright Fest at Six Flags, Super hero party at scouts, Pumpkin Bash at San Antonio zoo, garage sale, Marble Falls pumpkin patch, Halloween pictures, and Fall Fest at Clay Madsen. My head is spinning with all the activities we've done this month and more to come this weekend. Needless to say, we have all had so much fun since many of these activities have been done with dear family and friends. We always over book in October but there is just so much to do and we all love Halloween.

From the beginning, Jacey has stated that he wanted to be a ghost for Halloween. So, we bought the pattern and fabric and Nano sewed him his very own ghostie costume, adapted from a pumpkin costume. I put the striped leggings with it and we call him the French ghostie. He loves to go around saying Boo and his favorite songs to sing are:

5 Little Pumpkins sitting on a gate
The first one said, "Oh, my it's getting late!"
The second one said, "There are witches in the air!"
The third one said, "But we don't care."
The fourth one said, "Let's run and run and run!"
The fifth one said, "I'm ready for some fun!"
Wooooooooo went the wind and out went the lights
and 5 little pumpkins rolled into the night.

The really great thing about this song is that he's started to learn to use first, second, and third in context. I've been working with him to reiterate this concept by telling him the order in which we're going to do things throughout the day but he's really caught on and likes to show how clever he is.

The other song is:

Trick or treat, smell my feet
Give me something good to eat.

He loves this one the best and even said it in his sleep one day. Here's some pics of our little boo!
