Baby Chronicles: Mother's Instinct

Feeling pretty good. Russ and I have decided that we’ll not tell anyone else (only he and I plus my sister know) until after our first appointment with the doctor. We’re guardedly excited. This morning, I sat down to put my shoes on and sorta groaned when I sat. Mom was sitting beside me in the recliner and she looked at me shrewdly and said, “Don’t you feel good?” and I said, “Yeah, I’m fine. I’m just sleepy (It was early in the morning!) and my tummy is upset.” She gave me the mom stare and said, “Are you pregnant? Have you taken a test? You should take a test.” Um, ok. So, the cat is out of the bag. Can you believe that mom guessed it?!? Insane mom instincts, I guess. We should probably find a clever way to tell Clark and Joyce too. No fair to only have one side of the family know.
