Turning Three with Thomas the Train

Lillie has always known what she wants and has never had much trouble asking for it. We went to see Thomas in Burnet in October of last year and ever since then she has been saying she wants a Thomas party. She never wavered on the idea, even though Lightening McQueen and Kangaroos have also taken a special place in her heart. Since we are planning a gigantic carnival shindig with Jacey in April we decided to have just a small family gathering on her actual birthday to make it extra special. I made her a special Thomas dress since its impossible to find girly Thomas clothes! We started the day with lunch at Chuck E. Cheese then we spent the afternoon shopping and playing before heading home to get ready for the party. She was spoiled rotten by her Mia, Tika and Russ, Auntie Jeanette and Uncle Eric, and the Bacchis. Mia went way overboard as always, but Lillie's favorite gift was her very first big girl ring. She was happy to get Lightening and Doc color change cars, but since she had asked for them multiple times a day for over a week it wasn't a huge surprise. She had to put on the Lightening dress Tika had made for her right away and started a new fashion trend with the Thomas and Lightening layered look. Tika made her an AWESOME 3rd year picture DVD set to all of her favorite tunes and a special photoshopped mama and baby kangaroo picture. My favorite gift was the book I had as a child that I have been searching for high and low for over 3 years! It is "I Am Three" by Louise Fitzhugh. Mom found it and I had a tearful moment reading it to her later in the evening. Without further ado, all aboard the Beany Birthday Express!

What Birthday visit to Chuck E. Cheese would be complete without an inflatable crown?
