A Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Rising early Saturday morning, we made a trip to the pumpkin patch in Elgin. It was nice and cool when we got there, and there were plenty of pumpkins to choose from, as well as live Bluegrass music, and plenty of activities for the boys. Jonson, Joseph, and Russ all picked out their pumpkins early to insure the best selection, then it was off to the food pavillion, for some sausage wraps (Elgin sausage, of course), and roasted corn. Popi declared that it was the best corn he'd ever eaten, and we all agreed that it was very tasty.

We were joined by Jennika and Russ's friends, Brian and Rayo, and a little later by Lori and Josh, and their "little peapod", Olivia. Olivia was adorable. They dressed her in her Halloween costume, a peapod, and took pictures of her among the pumpkins. She was sooooooo cute, and a good time was had by all!
